CAR Certification Rocket

I designed, built, and launched a rocket for my Level 1 high-power rocketry certification. I created the fins and nose cone in CAD and fabricated them with 3D printing, then assembled them with the body tube and recovery system. I hand-painted the body tube to give the finished rocket a distinctive look.
The project took the rocket from digital design to a flight-ready build. I had to consider how the printed components would fit the body tube, withstand launch conditions, and work together as a complete vehicle. Preparing for launch also meant checking the assembly and recovery setup before putting the rocket on the pad.
The rocket launched successfully and was recovered after flight, completing the certification flight. It was a hands-on opportunity to work through the full design, fabrication, launch, and recovery process.
